If you think of your childhood fun...what is the first thing that comes to your mind? I would have to say for me, it is playing on the landing of our back hallway between my house which was a duplex. My parents lived upstairs and my grandparents' house was downstairs. I would sing and play with my make believe friends :). I would have tea parties and pretend to be cooking. Allowing children to be creative and imagine is such a gift!

I loved playing pretend with my sister. We would actually play pretend teachers and we'd put all our stuffed animals in a row and I'd take me school math book and give them each a sheet. Looking back on it I think its hilarious but at the same time it just shows me what career I've wanted to do all along.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do as a child was play with my toy soldiers and action figures, I could be anywhere and as long as I had my toy's with me it would be the funnest day ever. I had an amazing imagination and it made playing with simple toys my fondest memories are playing by myself.
ReplyDeleteI live in a duplex too and my aunt and uncle lived upstairs from me with all my cousins so my sister and I always had people to play with. My uncle is a very adventurous guy so he never hesitated to take us out to explore. It was nice always having something to look forward to everyday and never having a dull moment.
ReplyDeleteIn this time of the year My brother, my cousin, and I always used to go trick or treating it was like a tradition. We would basically run from house to house and round up as much candy as we could then we would go home and pour it all into one big pile. We would then spend like an hour sorting it all out based on peoples favorites and what we had more of and whatever else, and then we would just eat and eat candy before, after, and during dinner all day long and we always got in trouble but it was always fun.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing to do as a child was in the summer when we would go outside and play on the slip and slide. My uncle and a bunch of family friends would come outside with me and out soap and and a bunch of stuff on the slide!! it was so fun
ReplyDeleteWhen I think of childhood fun, I think of playing around the block with my brothers. We would play swords with stick. Also make our way through everyone's yards, to go swimming or just to run through.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger I grew up with a pool so every summer we used to spend family time in the pool, and invite friends over to have pool parties, which was always so much fun. We used to ride bike's around the block with the neighborhood kids which made me feel safe.
